''The Giggle''

- Vikram Grewal

Is it
me scratching the grains
of sand against my nails
Or is it
her giggle that jiggles
on my submerged ear
as I lay on the shore?

Is it
my lungs crackling with
muddy gusts through my nostrils
Or is it
her giggle that wriggles
to break free from my ribs
as I lay there half-dissolved?

Is it
the dry breeze from the sails
that makes my choking maw gulp
Or is it
her giggle that tickles
my fragile nerves from toe to tuft
as I lay there half-resolved?

Is it
the threads of my ripped ends
swinging with each tide
Or is it
her giggle that trickles
down my lips to hug the horizon
as I lay on the threshold?

Is it
my salt soaked hair
that sting like plucked weeds
Or is it
her giggle that snuggles
under my head like a pillow
as I lay- a shipwrecked sunflower?

Do I hear the giggle still
that toppled the boat
and made the swimmer in me
decide to drown?

Sir, did you research beforehand for the essays you have attached in your Essay Kaise post or was that impromptu? If you wrote those on spot, did you read all the books mentioned in the essays or just some famous lines that can be used in essays?

Have you ever felt at a point that you are not good enough or felt small? if so what did you do? waiting for the exam to happen n at least some good thing to happen.. lost confidence as a person. questioning myself n every bit of who I am.

If the girl about whom you have written this uses your beloved giggle of hers to measure how lucky she is, she will be giggling throughout her life. Sending love & light to you & her. 🧡✨

From one army brat to another I guess our experience will benefit us as it has in your case to pass this exam. I'm currently preparing for 2021 and following your tips and find it very consolidated and crisp so I think applying some of your fundas to my prep will help..
Thanks brahhhh.

What if(someone) is crushing upon you and wants to muster up the courage to ask you?
Does she really need to get through UPSC and choose Indian foreign service as a profession.
Tbh:- just asking 😬

It is everything that you think it is
It is more than what you think it is
It's made me giggle like i never thought I will
It's made me dream for all of it, naturally or my will
What is it that makes it so relatable
I can't stop smiling, it's uncontrollable

Thanks for everything that it has given me
Thanks for being you and penning it down! I'm in love!

You are literally the one guy in the universe who can claim that
"Is sheher mein tum jaise,
Deewane hazaaron Hein."
(from the song - In aankhon ki Masti me)

Oh! the drowned old snail,
It's the giggle that resuscitates your arrested heart,
And redeems the secrets of brain that's piled in the cart,
