21 Literal Motivation Quotes

 Literal Motivation Quotes #1

“What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

Agreed. Coz if what lies inside of you was lying behind and in front of you, it would be an unimaginably nasty sight to watch.

Literal Motivation Quotes #2
“Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'I'm possible'!”
—Audrey Hepburn

Words be like...
Nothing: I am impossible.
Impossible: I am possible!
Possible: Why don't you guys stop being wannabes & just be yourself! You do you ok! Believe!

Literal Motivation Quotes #3
“The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot.”
— Michael Altshuler

The better news is time-pilots don't need a licence. The best news is there are no passengers on your 'flight of imagination.' So you may begin shouting 'Mayday' now.

Literal Motivation Quotes #4
“Keep your face always toward the sunshine, and shadows will fall behind you.”
— Walt Whitman

This will work till sunset. After that just stand in front of the street light all night or just accept you are not a plant and cry yourself to sleep. :)

Literal Motivation Quotes #5
“You define your own life. Don’t let other people write your script.”
— Oprah Winfrey

And the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay of all time goes to: Parents of Sharma ji ka ladka. All other parents win best Adapted Screenplay.

Literal Motivation Quotes #6
“Believe you can and you’re halfway there.”
– Theodore Roosevelt

Theodore Roosevelt, the first person to make Goa plans with friends- that never materialized. No wonder.

Literal Motivation Quotes #7
“He who conquers himself is the mightiest warrior.” — Confucius

So basically self-colonization is the key. It is better to oppress yourself than others and be your own parasite living in glory. Unless 'He' is a Chinese surname here.

Literal Motivation Quotes #8
“The end of labor is to gain leisure.”
—Aristotle

If you are procrastinating, you are already skipping to the good part. You are freeing yourself from the vicious cycle of the world that is trying to make you a directionless workaholic.

Literal Motivation Quotes #9
“Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.”
— Maya Angelou

BUT first have an understanding of personal space. If you just go around being an invasive unicorn poking your horn in every cloud 'being nice' that's not cool. Consent is real, unicorns aren't.

Literal Motivation Quotes #10
“Good, better, best. Never let it rest. 'Til your good is better and your better is best.”
—St Jerome

So assume you are already 'good'? Worst, worse, bad. This quote is a fad. It is all about rhyming kid, go tell this to your dad.

Literal Motivation Quotes #11
“Know ur enemy & know urself & u can fight a hundred battles without disaster.”—Sun Tzu

Isn't constant dialogue the first step towards knowing ur enemy? & if u really know ur enemy u won't need to fight any battles. U are just scared of friends dude.

Literal Motivation Quotes #12
“Arise, awake, stop not till the goal is reached.”
— Swami Vivekanand

Yes! And I did not stop! I am not sure if the goal was reached, but I certainly have insomnia and chronic fatigue. Totally worth it i guess.

Literal Motivation Quotes #13
“Aim for the moon. If you miss, you may hit a star.”
—W. Clement Stone

Alright, Mr Stone. But aim what? Bullets? Stones? Inebriated fancies? Surreal expectations? This seems to be a wild party. Is this a drinking game?

Literal Motivation Quotes #14
“Your talent is God's gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God.”
—Leo Buscaglia

So you better package and wrap it and return it well. Because even god hates to get back the same Soan Papdi box he gave you last Diwali.

Literal Motivation Quotes #15
“If you want to conquer fear, don't sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.”
—Dale Carnegie

Agreed. So we must 'distract' ourselves to forget facing fear. Tire ourselves with random work. That's not conquering, that's running away from it.

Literal Motivation Quotes #16
“Put your heart, mind, and soul into even your smallest acts. This is the secret of success.”
—Swami Sivananda

Therefore, the act of drinking chai is a secret of success. If only conjuring the soul was that easy for other acts!

Literal Motivation Quotes #17
“Have a vision. It is the ability to see the invisible. If you can see the invisible, you can achieve the impossible.”
—Shiv Khera

Well, i would just say one thing: Say NO to Drugs (and such quotes).

Literal Motivation Quotes #18
“If you’re offered a seat on a rocket ship, don’t ask what seat! Just get on.”
—Sheryl Sandberg

Don't! If you have a seat, try to get 'in' it rather than get 'on' it. It's a rocket ship not a carousel horse! And check twice if it is by FB/Meta. Ugh!

Literal Motivation Quotes #19
“The business of business is relationships; the business of life is human connection.”
—Robin S. Sharma
Business! Gotta trust a guy whose each book sells a million copies to say that. Race 3 was an adaptation of The Monk who sold his Ferrari..get it?

Literal Motivation Quotes #20
“Your life is your making. God does not interfere with it.”
—Jagadish Vasudev

God doesn't. Godmen do.

Literal Motivation Quotes #21
“It's your life. Make it large.”

Motivational quotes are surrogate advertising of jargon of success & inspiration by people who try to impose their own flawed understanding of life on u. Go deeper & u will only find music CDs & silver pearls.

As you got the rank in civil services and you would have felt you can influence people with these flawed understanding....similary all above personalities have done....once you achieve something which is credible in society perspective..you can write and say anything which you wish even if it is rubbish people will appreciate you as if you have open their eyes...but i believe your perspective and way of looking thing should not be influenced by just getting success....lets consider what if you have failed in prelims for 3 time, mains two time, interview once etc.....these quotes are quite relevent to people with their unique circumstances....cannot be relegated as you did.

I found that Person who pointed out on these quotes really smart. Supported u communicated well people who tried to mock that person he handled the situation very well. Not scared. what needs to be said, he said. He understands the world.

Agreed.
The way he said- right practice makes a man perfect was so true. Kudos to him. A Learned person.

I think @Atul... , this is exactly what he is saying . You need not look upto every successful person and their motivational quotes. You may have your own motivation and a number like he has found his 21😅. You need to question every advice. You have actually got his point man🙃

Sir, official statistics tells 23% people in India use twitter and 70% of this are inactive. That means approximately 93% people in India doesn't exist on twitter. Someone just tried to introduce you to those 93%. Even if we ignore the exceptions then 70% of this 93% is real India and that definitely will not accept this shit. I think we should never underestimate 'maturity' in the name of desperation.

VG…..Justifying, dubito ergo cogito, cogito ergo sum.

simply existing, and doubting “thinking”.
In order to know if existing thinking is undoubtedly right.

Or is it what just they write, in order to exist.
Like how we have to simply doubt, in order to think.

How can someome be motivational and cynical at the same time?? Was absolutely refreshing and fun.

Came across this quote...find it relatable.
Motivation alone is not enough. If I have an idiot in front of me and i motivate him. Now I will have a motivated idiot. Sigh!
That reminds me of Liverpool vs Chelsea (2008-09 UEFACL) match that ended in tie. Equal scores.
Moving on to explore new things. ✌🏻

With due respect, I think the title should be a "literal interpretation", I found many of the quotes you willfully ignored the depth of the quote that the author metaphorically meant, of course, few are literal motivations that deserve your mockery.

Or else better if you would have chosen less than 21 at least if you can't justify it!

GS SCORE- It is very difficult for College students to receive comprehensive training, access to study materials and library facilities, interactive classes, and guidance from experienced faculty along with their college studies, exams etc. These courses help students understand the UPSC exam pattern, choose optional subjects wisely, and address their weak areas through doubt-clearing sessions. GS SCORE presents UPSC Classes For Undergraduates to fit comfortably with college schedules, allowing students to effectively prepare for the civil services exam while continuing their studies.
