Haraf in Urdu means " a letter or a word " . I think it can be related as the beginning of something , or anything which is at its initial stage . It represents a state where words enjoy freedom . They are not bound by the restrictions of sentences . Thus , they are freely floating like a river. Just my interpretation :)
